Your 8-Day Journey
Touch down in Tbilisi and check in to GT Hotel in the heart of the old town — your home for all seven nights, with no hotel changes the entire trip. Set off on a walking tour through the cobblestone streets: Narikala Fortress, the sulfur baths district, Leghvtakhevi waterfall, and the leaning balconied houses of the old town. In the evening, gather for a welcome dinner of khachapuri, pkhali, and a glass of Saperavi, meeting your guide and fellow travelers over live polyphonic music.
A short drive brings you to Mtskheta, Georgia's ancient capital and a UNESCO World Heritage site at the confluence of the Mtkvari and Aragvi rivers. Climb to the 6th-century Jvari Monastery for sweeping views over the two rivers meeting below, then visit the magnificent Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, the spiritual heart of Georgian Orthodoxy. Back in Tbilisi, roll up your sleeves for a hands-on cooking class — fold khinkali dumplings and bake cheese-filled shotis puri in a traditional tone oven — before dinner at the hotel.
Head north on one of the world's most dramatic mountain roads. Stop at the Ananuri Fortress above the emerald Zhinvali Reservoir, climb through the Jvari Pass at 2,379m, and pause at the Russia–Georgia Friendship Monument. Arrive in Stepantsminda beneath Mt. Kazbek, then take a 4x4 up to the iconic Gergeti Trinity Church at 2,170m, framed by glaciers and clouds. Return to Tbilisi in the evening for dinner at the hotel.
Drive west to Uplistsikhe, one of Georgia's oldest settlements — a remarkable rock-hewn town carved into a hillside over 3,000 years ago, with pagan temples, a Hellenistic hall, and tunnels overlooking the Mtkvari river. Continue to nearby Gori, birthplace of Stalin, where the Soviet-era museum offers a fascinating window into 20th-century history. Return to Tbilisi for dinner at GT Hotel.
A day in Georgia's wine heartland, the birthplace of winemaking. Visit family wineries to taste amber wines fermented in buried clay qvevri — a method unchanged for 8,000 years — and walk the vineyards above the Alazani Valley. Stop in the hilltop 'City of Love' Sighnaghi and the Bodbe Monastery where St. Nino is buried. Back in Tbilisi, the day ends with a traditional Supra feast led by a tamada (toastmaster), with heartfelt toasts and polyphonic singing.

How do I book and what's the payment process?
Send us a WhatsApp message with your preferred departure date. We'll confirm availability, answer any questions, and send a payment link. A 30% deposit secures your spot; the balance is due 30 days before departure. We accept bank transfer, credit card, and Wise.
Can I extend my stay before or after the tour?
Yes. Many guests add a few days in Tbilisi before the tour or extend to Batumi or Svaneti afterward. We can arrange extra nights at GT Hotel and additional day trips. Just tell us your plans when you book.
What's the group dynamic like on a small-group tour?
With max 10 guests, our tours feel like traveling with a group of friends. Most groups are a mix of couples, solo travelers, and pairs of friends, typically aged 30–65. By day three, everyone knows everyone. Meals are shared, stories are exchanged, and the small size means we can be spontaneous — if the group wants to stop for an unplanned wine tasting, we stop.
